With a wide range of research interests, Morgan has explored topics related to interactive visualizations and expertise development since joining the interaction lab in 2023. Previously, she has focused on developing interaction techniques to support analytics tasks for expert and non-expert users in classically static visualizations, such as stacked-dimension tables and parallel coordinates plots. Morgan has also investigated the role of guidance on learning in graphical user interfaces, and has contributed to additional projects involving memory-based interaction methods.
As part of her undergraduate studies, Morgan completed a double degree in Bioinformatics and Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Saskatchewan. She is now pursuing a M.Sc. in Computer Science under the supervision of Dr. Carl Gutwin.
